2 Colorado agencies celebrate the anniversary of the ADA

Two organizations in Denver will be spending a night in celebration this July. The Colorado Cross-Disability Coalition and Atlantis Community will commemorate the 22nd anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act -- a law that has become extremely important for a large segment of the country's population.

Employment discrimination: Colorado hospital worker wins appeal

In the United States, there are state and federal laws that are meant to protect the well-being and legal rights of employees in the workplace. There are laws requiring certain safety measures, laws that call for minimum wages to be paid and laws to protect employees from discrimination. The unfortunate fact, however, is that sometimes employers do not comply with these laws and regulations, and when that happens, an employee is entitled to file a civil claim to recover compensation.

Denver mayor's office in hot water over discrimination complaint

Some of our readers may have heard by now about the problems brewing in the Denver mayor's office. One of the mayor's longtime aides was fired on May 21, and it was recently reported that the reason behind the firing was an allegation of sexual harassment.
